We don’t do Google reviews and we don’t ask for feedback after a ceilidh, but people do sometimes email us – which is always appreciated. Here’s what people have said:

Wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the rest of the band for doing such an excellent job at our wedding. Your flexibility on a bit of a chaotic day was hugely appreciated. Your understanding of the mood of the wedding, and the profile of our guests, meant everyone felt comfortable to join in and dance the night away! … your callers being so accepting of a bit of a different ceilidh definitely helped with that.” (Wedding in Edinburgh, June 2026)

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for Saturday night. We had the BEST time! I’ve had so many compliments for you from all my friends, it was just perfect. We have been wracking our brains all morning to figure out when we can have our next ceilidh because it was so much fun! ” (Anniversary party, Edinburgh, May 2026)

Thanks to you all for coming to the ceilidh and playing for us. What a night! You guys were fantastic, I loved your singing… You are a talented bunch.” (School Burns Night Ceilidh, Edinburgh, January 2025)

The text roughly translates from German as follows:

“Funky Scotland”

Ceilidh dances: the ‘trad’ ceilidh is getting a modern breath of fresh air, pepped up with Bass beats. The trad instruments remain, inspiring the dancers, Hud yer Wheesht do Gaelic music with a funky element (www.hudyerwheesht.co.uk).
